Opened in 2025 and already one of the most talked-about venues in the city. Oriels is a proudly independent cocktail bar and venue that's doing things differently, and loving every second of it.

So, What Exactly Is Oriels?

That's a great question and the honest answer is that Oriels is a lot of things.

By day we're a relaxed, welcoming space in the heart of Exeter. Exceptional coffee, hand-crafted cocktails, a stunning new food menu and a warm atmosphere that makes you want to stay for just one more drink. Whether you're catching up with friends, working remotely on our superfast WiFi or simply treating yourself to a proper lunch. Oriels has you covered from 12PM every single day.

By evening, well that's where things really start to get interesting.

Oriels was built on a simple belief, that a great night out shouldn't mean settling for the same thing every time. That's why we've built something genuinely different. A full weekly programme of events that means there's always a reason to come back, whether it's Monday or Saturday, midday or midnight.

Here's what's happening every week at Oriels:

The Food & Drinks

We take our food and cocktails seriously at Oriels and our brand new summer menus are proof of that.

Our cocktail menu spans everything from Tropical & Tiki classics and South of the Equator adventures to American icons, Martinis, Shooters, Bombs and Sharers, with something for every mood and every occasion. Standouts include the Zombie, the F*cking Spicy Margarita and the Volcano.

On the food side, we're serving hand-stretched sourdough pizzas, wagyu beef burgers with hand-cut chips, dirty mac, jacket potatoes, nachos, charcuterie boards, sandwiches and dirty fries, all from 12PM every single day until 9PM, with a late menu available from 9PM onwards.

And for those who love a deal, Happy Hour runs Sunday to Thursday from 2PM–7PM, with 2-4-1 cocktails, 2-4-1 pizza or the option to go fully bottomless for just £29.95 when you order any main meal.

One of the things we're most proud of at Oriels is our versatility. We're not just a night out, we're a space for every occasion.

With a maximum capacity of 221 guests and multiple bookable spaces ranging from intimate snugs and cosy alcoves to larger areas for events, we cater for everything from birthday parties and hen dos to corporate events, networking evenings, private hire and business meetings. We even have superfast full-fibre WiFi and a full A/V setup for work or play.
